| How long have you been battling? I have been speaking with many who are battling many things in their life. You probably know about battling the enemy. We have all been in battles and will be again. I want to share what I felt that the Lord has been sharing with me about this. When in a battle, our focus is on the battle. We are fighting in the Spirit but too many are being beaten down with worry and weariness of the situation. You know what I mean. So, what should we do. The first thing we need to do is step back and look at the situation. Are you fighting a battle that is not yours to fight? I know this will challenge many of you but think about what I am saying. We have the tendency to fight, fight, fight and battle with our whole heart. That is the way we are supposed to fight but if you are not seeing results then we need to step back and ask God, why? I remember my uncle gave me some real words of wisdom as I entered the ministry. He said, “remember this. The Lord said, My yoke is easy and my burden is light. If you get overwhelmed in ministry your doing what you want to do and not what He has called you to do.” I remembered these words and I would guard myself by seeking His will in my life. The first point that I am trying to make is that we need to spend time with the Lord. The enemy loves us to keep fighting. Why? Because it robs us of focusing on our relationship with Christ. We are battling hard but we are not looking up for strength and wisdom. Our most important call is not to be battling but to seek His face and intimate relationship with Him. You might think, ”I am battling but I pray to.” When you are praying, how much time do you spend in listening. Are you willing to wait for a still small voice or do you let God get a word in at all? The next thing we need to know is that we give the enemy (or Devil) too much credit. Our daily battle is within. Yes, we battle with our mind, our will and our emotions. Please understand this. God is omnipresent (every where at the same time). The Devil is not. How many people have stood up and said, “The devil has been after me today.” The devil can not be harassing so many people at the same time. I can hear your argument now. Yes, Satan did take one third of the angelic beings when he was cast down to the earth. Yes, we read in the Bible that these beings are what we refer to as demonic forces. I agree with that. Let’s look at on thing. Fallen angels or demonic forces can not be omnipresent. Neither can they propagate. The same amount of fallen angels that there were in Biblical times is the same number as there are today. Now look at how many more Christians there are now compared to in Biblical times. They are loosing ground. Revivals breaking out everywhere around the world. Ask the Lord what your battle is all about. Then wait and start listening in the Spirit. He may tell you that you are fighting someone else’s battle and that is why you haven’t seen the victory. Many of us get caught up battling for friends and relatives. They need to learn to do their own battles and we are to support and encourage them. Jesus came to destroy the works of the enemy. That is exactly what He did. When He said, “It is finished.” The enemy lost the battle the war, everything. That is why the Bible states that, We are more that conquerors. We are a victorious people. We are to destroy the works of the enemy. Greater works shall we do because He went to His Father. The war is over. We need to understand that our victory and authority is in Christ. Fight the good fight. Speak the word, the living word. Stand in victory. His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Let’s concentrate on what the Lord is doing. |

| Dancing With God When I meditated on the word Guidance, I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word. I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing. When two people try to lead, nothing feels right. The movement doesn't flow with the music, and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky. When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead, both bodies begin to flow with the music. One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back or by pressing Lightly in one direction or another. It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully. The dance takes surrender, willingness, and attentiveness from one person and gentle guidance and skill from the other. My eyes drew back to the word Guidance. When I saw "G: I thought of God, followed by "u" and "i". "God, "u" and "i" dance." God, you, and I dance. As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust that I would get guidance about my life. Once again, I became willing to let God lead. My prayer for you today is that God's blessings and mercies be upon you on this day and everyday. May you abide in God as God abides in you. Dance together with God, trusting God to lead and to guide you through each season of your life. This prayer is powerful and there is nothing attached. If God has done anything for you in your life, please share this message with someone else, for prayer is one of the best gifts we can receive. There is no cost but a lot of rewards; so let's continue to pray for one another. And I Hope You Dance! |
