Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. James 5:16 |
| MorningStar Publications and Ministries is a diverse and expanding international ministry founded by Rick and Julie Joyner in 1985. It began with the biblical mandate of Matthew 24:45-46: Who then is the faithful and sensible slave whom his master put in charge of his household to give them their food at the proper time? Blessed is that slave whom his master finds so doing when he comes. To comply with this mandate, we seek to always to serve the Master's household, not be served by it. Our ministry motto is: “We will not use people to build our ministry, but we use our ministry to build people.” |

| Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass.......... It's about learning to dance in the rain |
As I woke up early one Monday morning, I heard in my spirit, "The fire goes out for lack of fuel." Now, I am thinking about this statement, knowing it is not something that I normally wake up thinking about at 5: 00 a.m.. So, I waited. The next thing I heard is, " "The fuel that fires my Spirit within you is the hungry desire for more fire." Then I thought, the passionate desire to seek the Lord's fire is the fuel that keeps me hungry and seeking. Now this is making sense. Now I am hearing, "That is why when the desire to seek me turns weak, the fire is also weakened." I was reminded of revivals and moves of God that were totally awesome and how I was frustrated when I saw everything go back to the old status quo, until the next revival. When we get satisfied with what we have received, we can stop fueling the fire within us and wait for the next refueling. We stop seeking and go to our comfortable place again. We are a weapon against the enemy. Lets not go dormant in our quest. Stir up the gift within you. Stoke the fire. The Fire of revival has been falling again. This is revival different, it is more of a Happening than a revival. It is a calling out of warriors who are not ashamed and who are given many powerful weapons. We will see God in powerful ways that we haven't comprehended. Remember He takes us from Glory to Glory. Some have been praying for this move. Well it is finally here. Have you caught the fire? Are you ready to be hungry for the move of His Spirit? Lets kindle the move of God in our lives with a passionate desire for more, more, more. And then some more. Ask and keep on asking, seek and keep on seeking. Knock and keep on knocking. |

There have been a few inquiries of the name of this ministry. Let me explain. When I was a young person, we would go to Youth Camp every summer. The Youth Camp was located in the mountains above Sonora, California. We were always ignited by His Spirit and many committed their lives to the Lord and some to full time ministry. During an evening service the Lord was moving in a powerful way. The Spirit was falling and so was everyone else. As the service was beginning to slow down I left the lodge and went to a water fountain. Then seeing the small chapel in the distance, I decided to go and have some private time with the Lord. The Chapel was across the baseball field. Behind the baseball field was this small "A" frame chapel nestled against a hill in the pine trees. To get there, you had to cross a small brook by use of a rustic log bridge. The Lord met me there in a very powerful way. It was a very intimate time that I never forgot. For years I would go to the chapel and have a very intimate time with Him. The name Pine Brook Chapel stands for this private, intimate place and time with the Lord. I pray for you there. | Ironing the Wrinkles Have any of you felt as though you've been placed on God's personal ironing board and the heat of the iron has been moving across your life to get the wrinkles out? If so, you are not alone! I have personally never been as aware of the spots and wrinkles in my life as I have been in the past six months. Although this can be disconcerting at times, the good news is that the "pressing of our lives" is a sovereign act of God, not a work of our flesh or personal strength. It is also the confirmation that we indeed are part of His beloved Bride who is being prepared for Him. Since the beginning of 2008, it seems as though God has taken a bottle of "Shout" (the stain remover) in one hand and a very hot iron in His other hand and has been applying both to every area of our lives and hearts. But, like the commercial for the stain remover says, we indeed want the Lord to remove every stain in our lives and "Shout it out." Though it is a joint effort between God and His Bride, it still is a sovereign work of grace. It is all about His shout and our surrender, His authority and our submission, and His grace and our dependency. It is not a shout of bitter anger, but a holy anger against all that has kept His Bride from being fully His. He is shouting over our lives, "She is mine and she will have no other gods beside Me!" A Time of Preparation Our God is preparing His Church to be presented to Him in "glorious splendor" (see Ephesians 5:27). Though we have longed to be holy and clean, often we have tried in our own strength to prepare ourselves. God has been stripping all the masks of holiness and disguises of religion off of His Bride. He is dealing with that which is both internal and eternal - her heart! It is as though all of our old "wineskins" have burst in and we are being prepared for the new wineskin, but the time from the old to the new has been a time of nakedness and exposure. There are choices we have in this time of nakedness - run, hide, and find a "covering" such as Adam and Eve did in the garden. Or, we can stand naked before God in absolute dependency on His mercy and grace and allow Him to cleanse and wash us from all our filthiness. We can choose to sew together an apron of fig leaves or we can come and allow the grace freely given to us through Christ to clothe us and take away our shame. This process is not to cause us shame but instead free us from the shame that we have hidden under these masks we wear. It is important to understand that with every deep work of the Spirit there is also a great battle that contends against it. During this time of preparation from the old to the new (which involves the exposure of everything that is not covered by grace), the enemy has sought to shroud God's people in a heavy weight of guilt and shame. God, in His great wisdom, has come to wash us with pure water and the truth of His word. We cry out like David in Psalm 42:1-2, "As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for You, O God. I thirst for God, the living God. When can I go and stand before Him?" God longs for us to stand face to face before Him, clothed in the righteousness of Christ alone. He does not want us to come with any man made coverings or hidden shame. He is overjoyed to cover our shame and remove our iniquity as He quiets us with His love. Stop reading for a moment and take a deep drink of His cleansing water. Kathi Pelton Light Streams Ministries Email: jkpelton@sbcglobal.net To read more of this article click here. |

| CARRIERS OF A RADIUS OF HIS GLORY IS YOUR SHADOW DANGEROUS? Acts 5:12-16, "The apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders among the people and all the Believers used to meet together at Solomon's colonnade. No one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people. Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number. As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on the beds and mats so that at least Peter's shadow might fall on some of them as they passed by. Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem bringing their sick and those tormented by evil spirits and all of them were healed." Acts 19:11-12, "God did extraordinary miracles through Paul so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them." Is your shadow dangerous? How much fire do you have inside of you? Have you ever prayed for your shadow to be anointed and dangerous? In II Corinthians 4, it says that we are earthenware vessels, but the glory, the treasure in us, is the Lord. In other words, there's a mystery. We are fragile earthenware vessels, but the glory, the fire inside of us, is the Lord. You know the song, "This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine"? It makes it sound like Christianity is so puny and you hope God has lighter fluid to fill you up again. How many of you would like to have a radius of His glory inside of you like a nuclear reactor? Or would you like even more? Do you want an anointing so that when you walk into a restaurant, the glory of God starts to move through you to confront the darkness because you have so much of the resurrection anointing? How much fire do you want? How dangerous do you want to be? Really? How many of you would like to see the glory of God rest over your house and as people drive by, they see angels of revelation camped over your house? How many of you would like to walk into work and suddenly, the glory of God just explodes out of you? Your boss comes up to you to shake your hand and all of a sudden, he is thrown up against the wall, falling to the floor and crashing with the anointing? He slowly stands up, walks back to you again, and says, "Thank you. I feel better now."
