Thank you so much
for the opportunity to
serve you.

Growing up in church all my life, I still remember the old hymns.
One of my favorite was , "In The Garden". Even as a young child
I would think of the words and try to imagine walking in the
    garden with Lord.

Gen 3:8  And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in
the garden in the cool of the day:

What an intimate time with the Lord it must have been. Can you
imagine how you would feel? Have you heard the voice of the
Lord call you? Have you taken time out from your busy schedule
to listen? Our desire should be to enter into that intimate
    relationship with Him.

Gen 3:8 continues by saying, " and Adam and his wife hid
themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the
    trees of the garden."

Why would they hide from the presence of the Lord? We all
know the answer. Adam and his wife had sinned. Sin is revealed in
His presence. They tried to hide their sins. They were not
different from us today. We try to hide our sins instead of
confessing them to Him and asking His forgiveness.  John 3:16
and 17 states that Jesus came into the world to forgive us our
sin's. Not to condemn us for them. This provides us a freedom to
seek His presence without trying to hide our sin's. We are
covered in His blood and graces. We have the promise that His
    mercies are new every morning.

I encourage you to spend time seeking His voice. Have a walk
with Him. There is a old gospel song that has this chorus.

Now let us have a little talk with Jesus
And let us tell Him all about our troubles
He will hear our faintest cry
And He will answer by and by

Listen for His voice. Ask Him to speak to you. He wants to
    be your friend.

    Bless you,

    Pastor Sid Cooper

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about
everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all
he has done. If you do this, you will experience God's
peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind
can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and
minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

      Clean Wash

A young couple moves into a new neighborhood.

The next morning while they are eating breakfast, the
young woman sees her neighbor hanging the wash
outside.

"That laundry is not very clean," she said. "She
doesn't know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she
needs better laundry soap."
Her husband looked on, but remained silent.

Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry,
the young woman would make the same comments.

About one month later, the woman was surprised to
see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her
husband: "Look, she has learned how to wash
correctly. I wonder who taught her this?"

The husband said, "I got up early this morning and
cleaned our windows."

And so it is with life. What we see when watching
others depends on the purity of the window through
which we look.
The Voice of the Lord
Happy New Year
How does the new
year look to you?
Is it full of challenges?
Does it look scary or
does it look exciting?
How will
you deal with
the new year?
Our Statement of Faith:

Honor and Glorify God
Equip Motivate and release saints

Evangelize

Colossians 3:16   Hebrews 10:24   Mark 16:15
This next year may seem like a challenge to you. We anticipate the
road ahead of us and think of how we are going to manage this new
year. I wonder what the young boy in the picture above is thinking.
Notice, there is no one around but him, and the decision of the
challenge ahead. We can feel all alone when we look at the new year
ahead. We can manage pretty good at times but are always waiting
for that
bump in the road that will change everything.
We have a Lord and Savior that said that
He would never leave us or
forsake us.
That is so important to remember when planning ahead.
You do not have to plan life on your own. Read
this scripture.
Psalms 118:6  The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man
do unto me?
Or look at this scripture.
Isa 41:10  Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I
am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will
uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
We have a Lord that will help us through the hard times and show us
the right way to go. How will you enter this new year? Will you face
the challenge alone? The choice is yours. Help is only a prayer away.
And that is exciting.

May God bless you this coming year,

Pastor Sid
